Spring Colours Week

About my blogging neglect, have I mentioned Pinterest and how much of your time that can gobble? Oh, yes. You're looking for something, say, a plum pie recipe. Forget Google, you'll find it on Pinterest with a nice picture and a few reviews of it to boot. It starts innocently enough. You start with a single board, pin a few things randomly ... and then you notice other pinners are putting things in such tidy little categories and they surely have their lives in equal order, right? You know some pinners have boards called 'Braids'? And others have boards named after every single room in the house? It can get downright exhausting. In any case, here's a little blue for you. I don't have a board on Pinterest called 'Blue'. Yet.

I know, I know, I've been neglectful.  I seem to have overcommitted myself, what with learning mushrooms, and deciding to run a 5K this year ... that takes up a chunk of time, going to the gym nearly every day to get up to speed. Oh, and there's the shoe project I want to start on. Yes, I want to get people wearing their favorite shoes, the ones they think say something about who they are, the ones that can really reveal one's character. And then I want to make a book about it, or try to exhibit the results somehow. I've got quite a little Spring mapped out for myself, but for now I think I might just try to give you one picture a day celebrating a single color. Have some yellow, will you?

Storms



One of my favorite things about Central Ohio is that we get big, crazy storms. It's actually kind of fun, dodging hail to capture a few shots. These are a few favorites.

I love these old advertisements on the sides of barns. More than that, I love isolating parts of them to suit my own purposes. Happy week to you all.

Fiery Foods

When you look at the map of Columbus, Ohio, does it say Spice Capital of the world? No? Huh. This weekend I visited the North Market's Fiery Food Festival and it delivered tenfold on it's promise. If it can be baked, roasted, grilled, or brewed, then it can be made spicy apparently. We tried a beer named Scorpion. A word of advice ... just don't try anything named 'Scorpion', okay? I am serious. You'll be tempted. You'll say to yourself, "How bad can it be?" But it can kill you. I'm just saying. And I scored some spicy raspberry preserves that will make a great PB&J sandwich, don't you think?

Petosky Stone - Dana Falconberry

I know, I know, I've been missing around here a lot lately. I've got a few projects keeping me busy and haven't been taking a lot of pictures lately anyway. That being said, I've been listening to Dana Falconberry a lot this week. Enjoy it, and have a great weekend, will you?
