German Village

I visited my old stomping grounds, German Village, tonight. It's strange, walking around a neighborhood where you once lived and seeing how things have changed, and how they haven't changed. And how I once sat on those steps deciding on what to do with my day. The smells eminating from Happy Dragon still tell me they make the best Phad Thai in town.

You know I don't usually go in for 'pretty', but the blossoms bursting out all over my neighborhood were calling to me today.  If you want to see more of what I saw, hop on over here.

Spring Colours Week

About my blogging neglect, have I mentioned Pinterest and how much of your time that can gobble? Oh, yes. You're looking for something, say, a plum pie recipe. Forget Google, you'll find it on Pinterest with a nice picture and a few reviews of it to boot. It starts innocently enough. You start with a single board, pin a few things randomly ... and then you notice other pinners are putting things in such tidy little categories and they surely have their lives in equal order, right? You know some pinners have boards called 'Braids'? And others have boards named after every single room in the house? It can get downright exhausting. In any case, here's a little blue for you. I don't have a board on Pinterest called 'Blue'. Yet.

I know, I know, I've been neglectful.  I seem to have overcommitted myself, what with learning mushrooms, and deciding to run a 5K this year ... that takes up a chunk of time, going to the gym nearly every day to get up to speed. Oh, and there's the shoe project I want to start on. Yes, I want to get people wearing their favorite shoes, the ones they think say something about who they are, the ones that can really reveal one's character. And then I want to make a book about it, or try to exhibit the results somehow. I've got quite a little Spring mapped out for myself, but for now I think I might just try to give you one picture a day celebrating a single color. Have some yellow, will you?

One of my favorite things about Central Ohio is that we get big, crazy storms. It's actually kind of fun, dodging hail to capture a few shots. These are a few favorites.
